Zagor -

Imagine a muscled frontiersman in a green buckskin shirt and a coonskin cap who wields a tomahawk and a Winchester rifle — but also has supernatural adventures involving witches, demons, ghosts, and lost civilizations. He is equal parts Last of the Mohicans , Doc Savage , and The Twilight Zone .

1. Who Is Zagor? Zagor (full name: Patrick Wilding , but almost never called that) is an Italian comic book character created by writer Sergio Bonelli and artist Gallieno Ferri . He debuted in September 1961 in Il Giustiziere (The Avenger) #1, later renamed Zagor .

He rarely kills human foes unless absolutely necessary, preferring to disarm, humiliate, or turn them over to law. Supernatural monsters? Fair game. Zagor exists in Bonelli's "Darkwood Universe" — a shared continuity with other Bonelli characters like Tex Willer (a later-era ranger) and Mister No (a WWII pilot turned Amazon guide). But you need zero knowledge of those.
