O you who were sent among us You have come with a command to be obeyed You have come and honored Medina Welcome, O best of callers (to Allah) The phrase “full moon” here is a metaphor for the Prophet’s radiant face and noble character. Even today, Muslims across the world sing this nasheed as an expression of love and reverence. It is often taught to children and recited in groups, sometimes with a simple duff (frame drum) accompaniment.
