As the train rumbles on, a strange occurrence takes place: a passenger in the rear car, a Korean woman named Soo-jin (played by a guest star), gets off the train at a random stop. The train hasn't been scheduled to stop for a long time, and no one knows why it made this unscheduled stop.

As the situation escalates, flashbacks reveal Soo-jin's backstory: she was a resident of the Tail who had given up hope of ever finding a better life on the train. When the unscheduled stop occurred, she saw it as a chance to take matters into her own hands.

The train is still reeling from the aftermath of Wilford's (Ed Harris) brutal suppression of the rebellion in the Tail. The passengers are on edge, and tensions are running high. snowpiercer s02e05 dd5.1

The ending shot is of the train's conductor Wilford staring out at the horizon, a curious expression on his face. How long can he keep his passengers under control, and what will happen if more people start to try to escape?
