The tape smelled like someone’s attic—mildew, old cigarettes, and regret. No label. Just a hand-scrawled "1987 - DO NOT ERASE" in faded Sharpie.
Static. Then a kid’s birthday party, Super 8 transferred to VHS at some point in the '90s. Nothing special. But halfway through, the frame froze on a woman in a yellow dress—no one else seemed to see her. She looked directly into the lens. Held up a sign I had to freeze-frame to read: @raremoviesguy doesn't post trailers
