More Or Less Unblocked May 2026

The “more or less” is permission. It says: you don’t have to be ready. You just have to be present. So no, I am not fully unblocked. There’s a paragraph in this post I don’t trust. There’s a worry about tomorrow sitting in my chest. There’s a half-empty coffee cup and a notification I should probably ignore.

More or less unblocked.

Some of my best writing came from days when I felt “half-blocked.” I couldn’t access the grand vision, so I wrote around it. I wrote sideways. I wrote the boring parts first. And in that detour, I found something I would have missed on the open highway. more or less unblocked

Partial blockage breeds creativity. Total blockage breeds despair. But total unblocking ? That breeds shallowness. If you take one thing from this, let it be this small, unglamorous practice: The “more or less” is permission

“I’ll start when I feel ready.” “I’ll write when I have the perfect idea.” “I’ll love again when I’m fully healed.” So no, I am not fully unblocked

But I’ve started to suspect that absolute unblocked-ness is a myth. Worse: it might be a lie that keeps us from actually moving.
