You cannot directly open a Google Earth file ( .kml or .kmz ) in AutoCAD. You must first capture or export the image, save it as a standard raster file ( .jpg , .png , .tif ), then import and georeference it in AutoCAD. Method 1: The Built-in "Geolocation" Tab (Easiest & Most Accurate) This is the best method for AutoCAD 2015 and newer. It uses live online maps (including aerial/satellite views).
