Instead, they practice what their founder, Kenji Hoshino, calls Sesshoku (接触)—a tactile, almost spiritual contact between the maker, the material, and the void.

Chairs and writing desks that utilize a proprietary "fossilized linen" technique: organic flax cloth steeped in mineral spring water from Fuji’s aquifers, then petrified slowly over eighteen months.
