Chainsaw Man Episodes Review
Days pass. Starvation and madness set in. Power tries to kill Denji but fails. Finally, Denji challenges the Eternity Devil alone, hacking at it for three days straight until the devil begs for death. Denji kills it. The team escapes. That night, Makima kisses Denji — the first real affection he’s ever received.
A new devil hunter, Himeno (Aki’s partner), is jealous of Makima’s hold on Denji. She gets Denji drunk and tries to sleep with him, but he passes out. The next day, they hunt the Katana Man (a human with a sword-blade head) and his partner, the Sawatari (with a snake devil). The attack is an ambush — Aki is stabbed, Himeno loses an arm, and Kobeni’s partner is killed.
Denji is saved by Power (who donates her blood) and Aki (who makes a new contract with the Curse Devil — using his lifespan as payment). Denji fights Katana Man again, now fused with the Gun Devil’s flesh. With help from Aki’s sword and Power’s hammer, Denji defeats him. The Yakuza, contracted with the Eternity Devil (an immortal, infinitely regenerating devil), traps Denji, Aki, Power, and others inside an 8th-floor hotel loop. The Eternity Devil will let them go if they kill Denji — because Chainsaw Man is feared by other devils.
Denji, a teenage devil hunter, lives in crushing poverty with his chainsaw devil partner, Pochita. To repay his yakuza debt, Denji hunts weak devils. Betrayed by the yakuza (who made a contract with a zombie devil), Denji is killed. Pochita makes a contract with him, becoming Denji’s heart. Denji revives as the Chainsaw Man — able to sprout chainsaws from his arms and head. He slaughters the zombies and is recruited by the government’s Public Safety Devil Hunters. Days pass
Power betrays Denji to save her cat Meowy from the Bat Devil . Denji defeats the Bat Devil, but the Leech Devil appears, capturing Aki. Denji kills the Leech Devil, earning Power’s loyalty (she promises Denji he can touch her breasts — which he later does with underwhelming results).
Katana Man reveals he works with the Gun Devil’s minions . Himeno offers herself to Aki (rejected). She then makes a contract with the Ghost Devil to fight Katana Man. In a desperate move, she sacrifices everything — including her own body — to summon the Ghost Devil’s full power. She seemingly dies. Denji, enraged, transforms and kills Katana Man — but is shot by Sawatari. Finally, Denji challenges the Eternity Devil alone, hacking
Aki, Power, and Denji form a squad under Makima’s orders. They visit a village where a devil is turning people into dolls. They meet Beam (a shark fiend) and Prinz (a spider devil) — allies. The Doll Devil reveals she serves a powerful devil called the Darkness Devil . The group is transported to Hell.
