We spend so much time teaching kids about the world as it is. But the best moments? They happen when we let them believe in the world as it could be .

That’s how we met Baby Alien .

She’s drawn a new picture for the fridge: two figures holding hands under a spiral sky. One is a girl with pigtails. The other is lavender, with blackberry eyes.

On the third night, Baby Alien stood up on wobbly legs. It touched Aria’s cheek with those three tiny fingers. Then it pointed up—at the constellation Orion, specifically the faint star near his belt.

There, nestled between the garden gnome and a half-dead tomato plant, was a creature no bigger than a library book. Pale lavender skin. Eyes like blackberries—too big for its face. And three tiny fingers wrapped around a broken glow-stick.
